Notes from the Journey with the Disciples – 307

  1. “Righteous Father, though the world does not know you” (John 17:25).

It’s a tragedy that has spanned centuries. The Creation does not know its Creator. The extraordinary question, “where do we come from” had begged for an answer, yet the truth had not emerged. Many who knew its answer, did not know His character, misunderstood His nature, and were left orphaned from the kind of information that would help their lives make sense. To not understand one’s source is to be unable to grasp one’s destiny. Thus was the human condition until Jesus came to show us the Father. Though Israel was first tasked as the means of this revelation, still the world did not know Him. Now…finally…the God we long to know has been glorified, made known…and we are just a few chapters from crucifying Him.
