Notes from the Journey with the Disciples – 210

  1. “I did not come to judge the world, but to save it” (John 12:47).

Recently, after I had preached a message on grace and Jesus approach to evangelism, someone who wasn’t comfortable with some of that message was heard to say, “Well, God’s love has conditions.” Hmm. Unfortunately, such tragic thoughts aren’t limited to a few random Christians. We all, at times, tend to act as though that man’s words are true. But God’s love is not conditional. His salvation is. We can only receive His gift of salvation by repentance and faith. But His approach to each of us sinners is overflowing with a love we don’t deserve. He loves first, not if.
