Notes from the Journey with the Disciples – 60

Has God given you a job to do? A mission to fulfill? Then that is the nourishment He intends for your soul. Giving your best to His mission for your life brings the meaning your life was intended to have. We sometimes seek peace in the absence of noise, in the hidden place, the vacation lawn chair, but the deepest peace can only be found as you move forward with God’s mission. It’s when you know that you’re doing what He made you to do that you find meaningful peace within. Those who seek a sense of nourishment from chasing self-satisfaction find their moment of meaning quite brief. But those who lose their life to something that matters find life in abundance.
