Notes from the Journey with the Disciples – 59

59. “I have food to eat that you know nothing about” (John 4:32).

What is our food? What truly nourishes us to the point that we don’t feel we need anything else? For Jesus, doing the will of the Father is what drove Him forward. Everything He prioritized funneled into this mission. The disciples have lunch in their arms, but Jesus has His eyes on something more important. Ever tried to get a child to eat when their eyes are on a different activity? That’s Jesus, except His issue isn’t a limited attention span. His gaze is fixed on what matters most.
