135. I will surely today carry out what I swore to you (1 Kings 1:30).

A leader must fulfill his promises. This is the core of integrity. If you cannot be trusted to do what you said you would do, you will soon find people unwilling to work with you. A leader doesn’t have many ways to demonstrate trustworthiness, but his careful follow-through on his word, gives him that opportunity. At the same time, failure in this area is difficult to overcome. Fulfilling commitments reflects on everything a leader touches.
